A competitive nine-runner sprint brings together several in-form handicappers, with Azuinthejungle and Crafty Spirit heading the market after recent victories.
Azuinthejungle arrives as the deserved favourite after scoring decisively last time. Although the winning margin was narrow, the manner of the victory suggested he had more in hand, and another bold bid looks likely if reproducing that level. He remains on an upward curve and sets the standard.
The value, however, may lie with Crafty Spirit. A dual winner on his last two starts, he has continued to progress this season and looks well suited by Beverley's sharp five furlongs. Drawn on the inside, he could secure an ideal early position and appears capable of giving the favourite plenty to think about.
Golden Havana has been knocking on the door without quite getting his head in front. Consistent rather than spectacular, he should again be competitive if the race is run to suit and appeals as one of the stronger each-way options.
Opal Storm is another to consider after returning to winning form last time. That effort hinted at a revival, and a repeat would put him firmly in the mix despite meeting stronger opposition.
Timeform's selection is Speeding Bullet, who returns from a short break 3 lb below his last winning mark. His recent form figures are uninspiring, but his stable has an excellent record in this race, making him an interesting outsider if bouncing back to his best.
The remaining runners all have bits of form that give them place possibilities, although each has something to prove. Empress Olivia has become hard to predict, Jojo Rabbit needs to rediscover earlier consistency, while Le Beau Garcon and Without Flaw will require improvement to trouble the principals.

This looks a straightforward contest on paper, with Azuinthejungle and Crafty Spirit standing out on recent form. While the favourite is respected, Crafty Spirit appeals as the better betting proposition at the prices. Progressive, well drawn and arriving in winning form, he looks capable of completing a hat-trick.
