On the 10th November 1973 Elton John began an eight week run at #1 on the US album charts with possibly his greatest album 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.'
.This was the seventh studio album by the singer - songwriter and also his biggest selling with Worldwide sales of 31 million copies. Rolling Stone magazine ranked it @91 in the 500 greatest albums of all time.
