On the 8th of November 1981 ITV's "The Southbank Show" screened a documentary of the making of Elvis Costelloe's country album "Almost Blue" that contained the glorious track "Good year for the roses" (originally recorded by George Jones in 1970)

Almost Blue is a 12 track album of Country and Western covers and contained the warning "This may cause offence to narrowminded listeners"
"I can hardly bear the sight of lipstick
On the cigarettes there in the ashtray
Lyin' cold the way you left 'em,
But at least your lips caressed them
While you packed"
